What kinds of manuscripts do you accept?

For fiction, I accept middle grade, YA, and most genre fiction. I have a particular interest in YA, speculative fiction, and historical fiction.

For nonfiction I accept memoirs and some prescriptive nonfiction. My preferred niches for nonfiction are self-development, writing craft, entrepreneurship, travel, and personal finance.

Please note that I work in American English for all of my services.

What is your turnaround time?

Turnaround time depends on the length of your project, but a book-length manuscript typically has a turnaround time of four weeks. Services can book out far in advance, so feel free to reach out even if you’re not ready to start right away.

How much does it cost?

I charge per word for longer projects, and a flat rate for the First Three Chapters Critique. You can find each rate listed with the service descriptions

Upon request, I also offer discounted bundle packages for authors who want more than one service.

Do you offer payment plans?

I want editing to be accessible for you, so upon request I’m happy to work with you to create a plan for editing services. Usually this involves completing the edit in pieces, over a longer period of time.

Do you offer sample edits?

Yes! For line editing, copy editing, and proofreading, I will ask for a 3-5 page sample, typically from somewhere in the middle of your manuscript. Then I’ll offer the sample edits and a quote and we can decide if we’re a good fit to work together.

Since quality developmental editing requires reading most or all of your manuscript, authors can book a free consultation call to discuss your discuss your project and make sure we’re a good fit to work together.

Will you format my book?

Sorry, I do not offer formatting or design services at this time.

I’ve never worked with an editor before. How do I get started?

You can start by filling out this form with details about your book, goals, and timeline, and I will get back to you shortly.
